Mattel released a La Llorona Barbie in honor of Día de los Muertos and she has quickly sold out.
La Llorona Barbie, retails for $110, and is a hauntingly beautiful representative of the Mexican folkore. She is draped in white lace with a corset bodice, blue underskirt and sleeves that lay over her frosty blue hands. Her neck and face are painted in catrina-inspired makeup with a black rose headdress.
The doll can not stand on her own but comes with a doll stand and includes a certificate of authencity.
Only members of the Barbie Club 59 were able to buy the doll at creations.mattel.com The doll may also be available through online retailers, as well as select stores in Latin America.
Membership for Barbie Club 59 is $9.99 a year. Members get exclusive access to members-only dolls and priority for select public sales and can share their voice via member voting.
Mattel also has two other dolls, a 2025 Día de los Muertos Barbie Doll for $81, and a 2025 Día de los Muertos Ken doll for $81 that are still available online.
