The London baseball team is playing in the state championship game for the fourth time in six seasons.
The Pirates (33-7-1) will face Boyd (38-3) in the Class 3A Division I state championship at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
Incase of inclement weather, the UIL announced Thursday that games could possibily be moved to Georgetown East View, Leander Rouse or Austin Vandegrift.
How they got here
London powered through the postseason with a 10-1 record, winning five consecutive playoff series to advance to Round Rock.
The Pirates opened the playoffs by sweeping Odem and blanking Raymondville before holding off Goliad in the regional semifinals.
London topped Falfurrias in the regional final and had its toughest test in the state semifinals against Huntington before rallying for a 7-6 victory in Game 3.
London has outscored its opponents 73-30 and recorded four series sweeps on its way to the state title game.
The Pirates have two state titles in program history. London won in 2022 and 2025 when the Pirates edged Texarkana Liberty-Eylau 4-3 in the Class 3A Division I state title game.
