Live scores: Week 8 high school football updates for Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle

Week 8 of high school football has arrived in the Texas Panhandle as district play continues for teams across the region.

On Thursday night, Pampa meets West Plains at Happy State Bank Stadium in District 2-4A Division I action while Perryton travels to Estacado for a District 2-4A Division II showdown.

Friday will feature a number of exciting matchups, including Panhandle and West Texas. The Comanches are still unbeaten, and welcome the Panthers to Stinnett for a District 1-2A Division I contest.

Canyon and Dumas meet at Happy State Bank Stadium on Oct. 17, as each school looks to pick up its first win in District 2-4A Division I. Similar to the Rangers, Palo Duro makes the trek to Lubbock, where the Dons will have an opportunity to improve to 3-0 in District 2-5A Division II competition against Lubbock-Cooper.
