This summer, El Paso kids can hone their skills in art, learn etiquette or take up a new interest at myriad summer camps around the city.
A dental office, Bumi Dental, is new to the summer camp scene, offering a series of camps to improve children’s dental health in the Borderland.
“We wanted to create something meaningful for El Paso families that combines science, creativity, health education, and fun,” said Chris Kolenc, business manager in an email. “We understand our camps may be priced slightly higher than some traditional camps, but we are investing heavily into providing a high-quality educational experience using real dental materials, models, equipment, and trained staff to help facilitate an experience unlike most camps available locally.”
Every child attending the summer camps will also receive a complimentary dental cleaning and exam. Parents may schedule the appointment during the week of camp or at a later date following camp participation.
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department also will offer its Club Rec Summer Camp.
“Club Rec provides children with a fun and supportive environment to stay active, build friendships, and participate in a variety of engaging activities,” said Parks and Recreation Department Director Pablo Caballero in a release. “Our focus is on promoting healthy development, reducing stress, and encouraging positive and meaningful experiences during the summer months.”
