After two seasons with the Texas Longhorns, Jordan Lee is taking her talents to South Carolina. The talented guard entered the portal a few days ago and will be staying in the SEC as she chases a national title. While Lee will be missed in Austin, she made the most of her time in the burnt orange.
Lee will be joining the Gamecocks after the best season of her college career. During the 2025-2026 campaign, the California native averaged a career-high 13.2 points, 0.5 blocks, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds a game. After starting five games the year before, that total jumped to 35 as the Longhorns were one of the best teams in the country.
During the NCAA tournament, Lee shined on college basketball’s biggest stage. In five games, she scored 65 points and recorded 11 assists. She was a scoring machine when needed, recording at least 15 points in five March Madness games. That is partly why Lee was one of the top options in the portal for programs in need of a boost offensively.
In Lee, South Carolina, is getting a player who can score from anywhere on the court. She shot 34.8% from three-point range and 48.2% from two-point range. Those percentages will be a welcome addition to a South Carolina team that finished just one win short of a title.
For Texas, the focus will now shift to replacing Lee’s offense. They have also lost Aaliyah Crump and starters Justice Carlton and Aaliyah Moore to the portal. Head Coach Vic Schaefer will be able to rely on one of the top freshman classes in the country, which should help soften the blow of key starters.
As Lee begins the next chapter of her college career, she will look to replicate the play in Austin that made her a fan favorite.
