EPISD classes start Aug. 3: Bus routes, physicals and key resources

The El Paso ISD is heading back to class Monday, Aug. 3. Some school districts have already started.

This summer, many of the schools’ maintenance crews refreshed sidewalks and worked behind the scenes to make sure students return to safe, clean and vibrant campuses.

Here is some general back-to-school information to help parents and students ease into a new and successful school year.

EPISD Help Center

The Family Help Desk is a one-stop resource for enrollment, transportation, student services, district programs, and other education-related questions.

Phone: 915-230-2581

Email: familyhelpdesk@episd.org

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (calls received after hours will be returned the next business day.)

Find your bus locator

El Paso ISD’s Bus Stop Locator tool helps families locate bus stop locations and identify pickup times. Parents can enter their address, select their school and click on search to find their neighborhood bus stop.

Where to get sports physicals

With school starting, staying on top of required vaccinations, sports physicals and other health needs can be overwhelming. To help parents get ready for the new school year, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare is offering several back-to-school resources, including vaccines to meet El Paso ISD requirements for K-12 students and $35 sports physicals offered at CareNow Urgent Care clinics.

All students under age 18 who receive a sports physical from CareNow must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. EKGs are not included in the promotional price.

Additionally, students should bring all necessary forms and vaccination records to the appointment, any medications the student takes regularly, as well as glasses or contacts if worn.
