The Cowboys are churning the waters at running back, swapping out a Tulsa Golden Hurricane for a recent member of the Orlando Storm.
Dallas waived undrafted rookie Dominic Richardson on Friday, per Jon Machots of The Athletic. In his place, the team has signed Jashaun Corbin, who played this past spring in the UFL, led that league in rushing the year prior, and also has previous NFL experience.
Corbin went undrafted out of Florida State in 2022 despite averaging 5.75 yards per carry on over 200 rushing attempts in two years with the Seminoles. He played his first two seasons of college ball at Texas A&M, seeing limited action before transferring.
Stints with four teams followed Corbin’s joining the NFL, though most of those stays were in camp or on a practice squad.
Corbin’s only offensive stats in the NFL- one rush for one yard and three catches on three targets for 12 yards- came with the Giants in a Week 10 contest against Dallas in 2023, which the Cowboys won by a 49-17 score.
While his most recent spring season saw Corbin tally 437 rushing yards with the Storm, his 2025 campaign with the San Antonio Brahmas earned him the league’s rushing title and All-UFL honors after racking up 514 yards over 10 games.
At 5-foot-11 and 224 pounds, Corbin will now enter a Cowboys RB room where Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah, Malik Davis, and Israel Abanikanda are already battling for backup duties to 1,200-yard rusher Javonte Williams.
