The city of Wichita Falls Transfer Station at 3200 Lawrence Road will reopen on Tuesday, according to a press release from the city.
“Concrete repairs were completed ahead of schedule, and the station will be open to the publicduring its normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdayfrom 10 a.m. 4 p.m.,” the release said.
The transfer station closed to the public on March 17 for major repairs with the city warning those repairs would take “a few months.”
The station is for use by city residents free of charge for disposing of household waste from a primary residence. Residential customers must show proof of residency with a valid ID and an active city utility account.
