Welcome to Houston, friends.
The Texans landed eight new players on their roster during the 2026 NFL Draft. While there were some niche pieces to better the passing game, general manager Nick Caserio made sure to let everyone know that there was going to be an emphasis on finding physicality and brute strength, especially in the front seven and on the offensive line.
That included some impact players in offensive lineman Keylan Rutledge, defensive tackle Kayden McDonald, tight end Marlin Klein, offensive lineman Febechi Nwaiwu, and linebacker Aiden Fisher. The Texans also added in special teams depth with wide receiver Lewis Bond, defensive back Kamari Ramsey and linebacker Wade Woodaz.
But how athletic is the new bunch of standouts looking to make an impact in the professional ranks?
RAS — or Relative Athletic Score — was created by Kent Lee Platte and measures a player’s athletic testing to their size as well as historically. Each measurement is graded on a scale of 0-10 (with 10 being the highest), where each prospect matches up to those of the same position throughout history.
Here’s a quick look at the RAS scores for the eight draft picks made by Houstn, which featured the most athletic class of the draft, including two grades over 9.0 out of 10 from one Houston rookie.
