Immediately after Dallas turned their 1.8% chance of winning the lottery into a massive stroke of luck, sites selling custom jerseys started moving No. 2 Flagg jerseys, assuming he would stick with the number he wore in college.
A Google search of “Cooper Flagg Mavs jersey” reveals an assortment of No. 2 Flagg gear for purchase. No other numbers are available.
However, a search for “what jersey number will Cooper Flagg have with the Mavericks” yields 77 on the AI overview. That’s the number Luka Doncic, the Mavs’ former star now with the Los Angeles Lakers, wears.
However, when that question is posed to Google Gemini AI, it projects he will go with his high school number, 32.
When Dallas calls his name Wednesday, they will likely present him with a No. 1 jersey to represent the first pick in the draft, though there is no speculation what will be his actual jersey number.
At any rate, this is something Cooper will decide shortly after the draft and official gear through the Mavericks will be released.
