With the 2025-26 high school sports season starting in August, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to identify El Paso’s top athletes, teams and games.
This week, readers voted for which El Paso Times’ El Paso Children’s Hospital high school athlete had the best performance in volleyball, cross country and tennis.
Hanks cross country runner Ashlyn McMillan earned the most votes with 31,215 votes, followed by Victoria Mata of the Americas volleyball team with 16,059 votes and Lyah Galford of the Eastwood volleyball team with 11,591 votes.
