ZANESVILLE – A Zanesville man was killed when his Honda Odyssey van veered off U.S. 22 on Nov. 19.
Roger L. Myers, 81, the driver, was traveling eastbound near mile marker 14, when his vehicle left the right side of the road and struck a mailbox, metal wagon wheels and a tree stump, according to an announcement from the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Zanesville Post.
Washington Township Fire and EMS, along with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the accident as Myers was transported to Genesis Hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
