Fall sports for area high schools is in full swing, with high school football completing Week 2 of the new season last Friday night. It’s now time to begin recognizing standout efforts from area student-athletes in the Daily Jeffersonian coverage area.
Plenty of standout performances in football, volleyball, soccer, golf and cross country from local student-athletes highlight the week of Aug. 25-31 action from which to choose.
Take time to cast your vote for your choice during our first Daily Jeffersonian Athlete of the Week poll for the fall sports season.
High school sports fans can vote in the poll this week to pick their top performance. The polls run until 5 p.m. Friday.
Nominations for Athlete of the Week can be sent to KSutton1@gannett.com by noon Sunday. Please include the athlete’s name, school and sport and a little about their accomplishment that week.
