Wooster Brush president joins The Apple Creek Banking Company board

The Apple Creek Banking Company has appointed Ben Maibach, president of The Wooster Brush Company, to its board of directors.

Maibach, a lifelong Wooster resident, graduated from Wooster High School and The College of Wooster and has worked at companies including Rubbermaid, Moen and Waxman Consumer Products. He joined The Wooster Brush Company in 2020, according to an announcement.

“We are very excited that Mr. Maibach has joined The Apple Creek Banking Company Board of Directors,” said Leo J. Miller, president and CEO of The Apple Creek Banking Company. “His values, passion, knowledge, and commitment to our local communities directly align with our mission of being a strong, independent community bank. A strong Board makes a strong bank and Ben’s addition brings further depth to an already dedicated and community-focused Board.”

Maibach is a civic leader, serving on boards such as the Hardware Group Association, Wayne Insurance Group, Wayne Economic Development Council, Will-Burt and the Wooster City Schools Business Advisory Council. He mentors youth through Ohuddle, is a member of the Rotary Club and remains active in several other community organizations.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Ben onto The Apple Creek Banking Company Board of Directors,” said Chad Boreman, chairman of the board. “His experience, perspective, and community engagement will be an invaluable resource for our Bank’s continued success. The Board of Directors are looking forward to working with Ben.”

Maibach lives in Wooster with his wife, Courtney, and their three children.
