Which Muskingum County restaurants are open on Thanksgiving? What's closed?

ZANESVILLE – Thanksgiving is Nov. 27, and many of Muskingum County’s restaurants will be closed. Others will be open with different hours. Some have Thanksgiving-related specials, and one restaurant is offering a free Thanksgiving dinner.

Here’s a roundup of who’s opened and closed for the holiday.

Muskingum County restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day

● Ammar India Restaurant. Ammar India Restaurant, 32 N. Third St., will be open Thanksgiving with its regular hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 9:30.

● Bob Evans. Bob Evans, with three locations at 2844 Maysville Pike, 450 Underwood St. and 3006 Maple Ave., will be open from 8 am. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

The restaurants are offering a Thanksgiving special with turkey and ham, three sides, a dessert and choice of bread for $18.99. The option with just turkey is $17.99, and just ham is $16.99.

Bob Evans also offers pre-order meals. All are packed cold and come with heating instructions. Preorders can be made on the Bob Evans website. The options are:

Premium Farmhouse Feast: Serves eight to 10 people includes turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, green beans with ham, cranberry relish, macaroni and cheese, rolls, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin bread. It costs $164.99.

Farmhouse Feast: Serves eight or four people, depending on the bundle, with choice of turkey or ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, cranberry relish, rolls, pumpkin pie. For eight servings it is $122.99 for ham and $132.99 for turkey. For four servings it is $89.99 for ham and $99.99 for turkey.

Pot Roast Farmhouse Feast: Serves eight to 10 and includes pot roast with caramelized onions and carrots, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry relish, green beans with ham, corn, macaroni and cheese, rolls, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie and apple pie. It costs at $174.99.

Holiday Hot Family Meal: Serves six and includes turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans with ham, corn, rolls and pumpkin pie. It costs $109.99. This meal comes ready to serve.

● Bryan Place. Bryan Place, 49 N. Sixth St., will be offering its traditional Thanksgiving buffet and will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’ll offer turkey, ham, lasagna, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, assorted vegetables, cranberry sauce and a salad bar for $29.95.

Desserts will include pecan pie, pumpkin pie, coconut cream pie, pineapple cake, chocolate cake, and pumpkin cake.

Carryout will be an option.

● Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Cracker Barrel, 225 Scenic Crest Drive, will have its regular hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Individual Thanksgiving dine-in meals available include turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans and a dessert.

Cracker Barrel also offers heat-and-serve meals. One that serves four to six people with turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans is $114.99, and a second option for eight to 10 people with the larger portion of the same offerings, along with a pecan pie and apple streusel. It’s $184.99.

● Denny’s Classic Diner. Denny’s at 10 Airport Road will be open 24 hours on Thanksgiving.

It’s offering a turkey dinner with dressing, gravy, two sides, rolls, and cranberry sauce for $16.39. It’s available for in-person dining and takeout.

Denny’s also will offer a heat-and-serve turkey bundle, with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, choice of another side, gravy and cranberry sauce. Prices start at $54.99 and serve four people.

It can be ordered through the website, starting Nov. 22. Preorders are online only and must be placed 24 hours in advance.

Denny’s is also offering pecan and pumpkin pie. They’re $3.99 for a single slice or $10.29 for a whole pie.

● Juanita’s Family Restaurant. Juanita’s, 1029 W. Main St., will be open Thanksgiving for its regular hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will not have any holiday specials that day.

● Midtown Bar & Grill. Midtown, 34 Potters Lane in Roseville, will be open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It’ll also be doing a free Thanksgiving meal, with turkey or ham, stuffing, noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and different kinds of pies. Reservations are due by Nov. 21, and can be made by calling 740-214-5052 or through Midtown’s Facebook page.

● Oriental Super Buffet. Oriental Super Buffet, 445 Underwood St., will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for Thanksgiving. It’ll be offering some Thanksgiving options, such as turkey, ham and sea food for $15.99.

● Tee Jaye’s Country Place. Tee Jaye’s, 1542 Maple Ave., will be open for its normal hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Thanksgiving dinner options include turkey, ham with pineapple sauce, turkey rice soup, dressing, candied yams, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, biscuits or rolls and pumpkin pie.

Adult meals are $14.99, and kids are $8.99. Dinner is available in person or for takeout.

● The Barn. The Barn, 1947 Linden Ave., will be open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving. It will not offer any Thanksgiving specials.
