It’s almost time for the most highly anticipated musical performance in sports: the Super Bowl halftime show.
Three-time Grammy-winning singer Bad Bunny will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. The performance marks one of Bad Bunny’s biggest appearances as he joins the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and other music industry icons who’ve filled the prestigious performance slot.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement shared by the NFL. “This is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
Here’s everything to know about Bad Bunny and his Super Bowl 60 halftime performance.
When is the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show?
Because there’s no set duration for the first two quarters of Super Bowl 60, it’s hard to predict exactly when the halftime show begins.
Kickoff for the Super Bowl is 6:30 p.m. ET, and the first half will likely take an hour and a half, putting the halftime show start time around 8 p.m. ET.
Who is Bad Bunny?
Benito Martínez Ocasio, also known as Bad Bunny, is a 31-year-old rapper and singer from Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
The artist, dubbed the “King of Latin Trap,” was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performer Sept. 28, a week after he concluded his 31-date Puerto Rican residency. Bad Bunny became the first non-English American artist to be Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year for three years in a row, 2020 to 2022.
The three-time Grammy winner rose to the mainstream with his 2016 track “Diles.” His 2020 album “El Último Tour Del Mundo” became the first all-Spanish language album to land at the top of Billboard 200.
This year marks the second time Bad Bunny will take the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show, per USA TODAY. He was a featured guest during the Super Bowl 55 halftime show, joining Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. However, this year will be his first time headlining the country’s biggest concert.

Who is performing with Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl?
Bad Bunny has yet to confirm whether or not he will bring out any special guests.
However, Colombian singer J Balvin did tell TMZ he won’t make an appearance during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show, even though both artists have been known to collaborate in the past, USA TODAY reported.
The pair, who released the joint album “Oasis” in 2019, even shared the stage at the 2020 Super Bowl, as they both were special guests for Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s joint performance.
Instead, J Balvin said he’ll “be there definitely to support him” at the NFL championship game.
