LANCASTER — The Lancaster Valley View Gators swim team competed at the end-of-the-season Tri-County Aquatic League Championships at the Dresden Swim Center.
A total of 11 teams, located in Fairfield, Licking, Franklin and Muskingum counties including more than 1,500 swimmers, competed in the championships.
Valley View placed first in Division 2 and third overall in the team standings.
6U Results: Mack Craiglow placed 2nd in the 25 Freestyle and 2nd in the 25 Backstroke.
8U Results (Relays): Girls 100 Medley Relay (4×25) team of Emerson Boyer, Lucy Carpenter, Hailey Arnett, and Rosie Cochran placed 3rd. Boys 100 Medley Relay team of Mack Craiglow, Owen Destadio, Declan Elsea, and Brantley Morgan placed 1st. Girls 100 Freestyle Relay team of Rosie Cochran, Avery Rawlings, Emerson Boyer, and Lucy Carpenter placed 2nd.
7–8 Results (Individual): Lucy Carpenter placed 1st in the 25 Freestyle and 1st in the 25 Breaststroke. Carpenter set a new Valley View Team Record and TCAL Championship Meet Record in the 25 Breaststroke with a time of 20.39. Owen Destadio placed 5th in the 25 Breaststroke. Declan Elsea placed 2nd in the 25 Breaststroke and 2nd in the 25 Butterfly.
9–10 Results (Relays): Girls 100 Medley Relay team of Delila Galadyk, Charlotte Snoke, Kipley Unger, and Gigi Carpenter placed 2nd. Boys 100 Medley Relay team of Harrison Uhl, Nolan McVity, Caleb Carpenter, and Collin Smith placed 4th. Girls 100 Freestyle Relay team of Charlotte Snoke, Delila Galadyk, Kipley Unger, and Gigi Carpenter placed 2nd. Mixed 100 Freestyle Relay team of Caleb Carpenter, Collin Smith, Scarlette Dille, and Nolan McVity placed 1st, setting a new Valley View Team Record and TCAL Championship Meet Record with a time of 1:04.66. 9–10 Results (Individual): Gigi Carpenter placed 3rd in the 100 Individual Medley (IM) and 1st in the 25 Breaststroke. Carpenter set a new Valley View Team Record in the 25 Breaststroke with a time of 17.90. Charlotte Snoke placed 1st in the 50 Freestyle and 2nd in the 25 Breaststroke. Caleb Carpenter placed 1st in the 50 Freestyle and 2nd in the 25 Butterfly. Carpenter set new Valley View Team Short Course Yards (SCY) Records in both events with times of 30.45 in the 50 Freestyle and 14.90 in the 25 Butterfly. Nolan McVity placed 3rd in the 25 Backstroke and 5th in the 25 Breaststroke. McVity set a new Valley View Team SCY Record in the 25 Backstroke with a time of 19.19.
11–12 Results (Relays): Girls 200 Medley Relay (4×50) team of Libby McVity, Ava Anderson, Athena Gossel, and Cora Carpico placed 5th. Boys 200 Medley Relay team of Jude Thomas, Graeme Elsea, Brock Sabo, and Ben Miller placed 3rd. Girls 200 Freestyle Relay team of Ava Anderson, Athena Gossel, Cora Carpico, and Libby McVity placed 3rd. Boys 200 Freestyle Relay team of Brock Sabo, Ben Miller, Jude Thomas, and Graeme Elsea placed 3rd.
11–12 Results (Individual): Ava Anderson placed 3rd in the 100 Individual Medley (IM). Libby McVity placed 1st in the 50 Freestyle and 4th in the 50 Backstroke. Graeme Elsea placed 1st in the 100 Individual Medley (IM) and 1st in the 50 Breaststroke. Elsea set a new Valley View Team SCY Record in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 37.01. Brock Sabo placed 3rd in the 50 Backstroke and 3rd in the 50 Butterfly.
13–14 Results (Relays): Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Ellie Pruitt, Ainsley Elsea, Ella Vollmer, and Lily Poling placed 1st. Girls 200 Freestyle Relay team of Ellie Pruitt, Lily Poling, Ainsley Elsea, and Ella Vollmer placed 1st, setting a new Valley View Team SCY Record with a time of 1:54.90.
13–14 Results (Individual): Caisee Darst placed 4th in the 100 Individual Medley (IM). Ainsley Elsea placed 2nd in the 100 Individual Medley (IM) and 4th in the 50 Breaststroke. Lily Poling placed 5th in the 50 Freestyle. Ellie Pruitt placed 2nd in the 50 Freestyle and 3rd in the 50 Backstroke. Pruitt set new Valley View Team SCY Records in both events with times of 27.43 in the 50 Freestyle and 32.34 in the 50 Backstroke. Ella Vollmer placed 1st in the 100 Individual Medley (IM) and 1st in the 50 Butterfly. Xander Guinan placed 5th in the 50 Freestyle.
15–18 Results (Relays): Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Ellie Meyer, Lauren Wilson, Nykole Hupp, and Adrienne Pruitt placed 5th. Girls 200 Freestyle Relay team of Nykole Hupp, Adrienne Pruitt, Lauren Wilson, and Ellie Meyer placed 4th.
15–18 Results (Individual): Adrienne Pruitt placed 5th in the 100 Freestyle and 5th in the 100 Backstroke. RJ Carpenter placed 3rd in the 100 Backstroke. Dax Sabo placed 5th in the 50 Butterfly.
