Forestry group meets July 2
DOVER – The East Central Ohio Forestry Association will meet at 7 p.m. July 2, at Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St. Randy and Koral Clum will discuss the techniques they used to conduct a 100% inventory of their Harrison County Tree Farm and how the results will influence their ongoing forest management.
April Thayer earns national certification
DOVER − Hennis Care Centre of Dover’s Activities Director April Thayer has earned her Advanced Activity Professional – Board Certified certification (AAP-BC). The certification is a nationally recognized credential of the highest level that signifies advanced knowledge and skills in the field of resident activities, according to a news release. Thayer has pursued her AAP-BC certification throughout her time managing activities at Hennis Care Centre, a skilled nursing facility.
‘Young Frankenstein’ at The Little Theatre
NEW PHILADELPHIA − The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County, 466 Carrie Ave. NW, continues its presentation of “Young Frankenstein” on July 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children and students. A military discount is also available. Garden tour July 12
NEW PHILADELPHIA − The New Philadelphia Friends of the Library will host its garden tour fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12. The self-guided tour includes six gardens in Tuscarawas County.
