The Ontario Police Department is advising the public to plan around the potential traffic delays due to the grand opening of Raising Cane’s restaurant on Tuesday, June 24, at the corner of Lexington-Springmill Road and West Fourth Street.
Police and Raising Cane’s have been working together to assist in the traffic flow of the event and have plans in place, according to a news release from Ontario Police Department Saturday.
To manage traffic flow and ensure public safety:
The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development ribbon cutting is 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at the restaurant, which is famous for hand-battered chicken fingers and signature Cane’s sauce. According to the Chamber, there will be a live DJ from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Access to nearby businesses may be limited or delayed, especially those located along Lexington-Springmill Road, on West Fourth Street and in shopping centers nearby Cane’s.
The Ontario police urge all drivers to use caution, stay patient and follow all posted signs and officer directions.
Pedestrians should use designated crosswalks and look out for more traffic.
