Terry McLaurin has been a standout wide receiver in the NFL ever since he started with the Washington Commanders after leaving Ohio State in 2019. The fans in Washington have loved and appreciated from the beginning, and he’s been their best offensive player.
However, frustrations with contract talks led McLaurin to not report to training camp, being placed on Washington’s Did Not Report list and being taken off the active roster. He still doesn’t have a new contract deal yet, but he has now reported to training camp.
McLaurin is still not practicing, as he is on Washington’s Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list with an ankle injury. He clearly loves it with Washington, as he told reporters from The Washington Post at practice.
McLaurin is one of the most successful Buckeyes currently in the NFL, and he’s clearly happy with his destination in Washington right now––even as he is struggling with contract issues and being on a team that’s not quite up to championship caliber.
