A woman was fatally stabbed inside a Norwood Skyline Chili on Tuesday.
Norwood police say they were dispatched to the Skyline Chili restaurant in the 4500 block of Montgomery Road shortly before noon June 2, according to a department news release. Officers were told a stabbing had occurred.
When officers arrived, they found one woman who had been stabbed. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The suspect was taken into custody near the scene. Police have not released the suspect’s identity.
“Investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no active threat to the public,” department spokeswoman Maggie Latham said in the news release.
The department’s investigation remains ongoing.
Multiple people in the area told Enquirer media partner Fox 19 the victim was a woman who worked at Skyline, but Norwood police have not confirmed this information.
Video from a passerby shows a man being taken out of a nearby bank in handcuffs. The man’s face is blurred because police have not said if he is connected with the stabbing at Skyline.
The Norwood Skyline is closed for the remainder of the day.
