Congressman Ralph Regula Memorial Ride

CANAL FULTON – The Congressman Ralph Regula Memorial Ride will be June 21, with starting times based off your selected bicycle route (eight, 16 or 32 miles) through 2 p.m. Registration is at 8, 9 or 10 a.m., based on ride length.
The bike ride begins at Canal Fulton Canalway Center (St. Helena Heritage Park). Boxed lunches will be available for participants from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. upon returning to St. Helena Heritage Park.

Car show at McKinley Museum
CANTON – The Cruisin’ Thru History Classic Car Show will be held June 21 at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW.
Participant registration will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on the day of the event, with a $15 entry fee. This is a cash-only event.
The car show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 125 registered cars. All car owners will receive one free admission ticket to the museum.
This event is free for guests. Food will be available for purchase.
Trophy categories include best classic car from each decade, best Jeep, best motorcycle, car show host’s pick and Christopher Kenney Memorial Award.
Movie at Centennial Plaza
CANTON – The Centennial Plaza Movie Series continues at 7 p.m. June 18 with a showing of “Frozen.”
A free, family-friendly movie will be shown outdoors on Centennial Plaza’s big screen downtown every Wednesday at 7 p.m. through Aug. 13, with pre-movie entertainment beginning at 6:15 p.m.
Kids movie Monday at the Palace
CANTON – The Summer Kids Movie Series at the Palace Theatre, 605 Market Ave. N, continues at 1 p.m. June 23 with a showing of “Frozen 2” and continues every Monday through Aug. 4.
Admission is $2. Doors and the box office open at noon. A sensory-friendly showing of the movie will be at 6:30 p.m.

Canton Township Community Day
CANTON TWP. – Canton Township Community Day will begin at 4 p.m. June 21 at Faircrest Park.
The free, family-friendly event will include food truck vendors, community vendor tables, and a Kid’s Zone with inflatables and games. Karri Fedor & Kerosene will take the stage at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair for seating. Fireworks will begin at dark.
Parking will be at Faircrest Memorial Middle School, 616 Faircrest St. SW. A free shuttle will provide transportation to and from the park.
Motown tribute concert
CANTON TWP. – Stardust Dinner Theatre will present a Motown tribute concert at Tozzi’s, 4210 12th St. NW, on June 21. Jackson Community Celebration
JACKSON TWP. – The Jackson Township Community Celebration will be 6 to 11 p.m. June 18 and 19; 5 to 11 p.m. June 20; and 3 to 11 p.m. June 21 at the Nash Family Jackson Amphitheater, 7454 Community Parkway NW. Admission is free.

Quail Hollow Park anniversary
LAKE TWP. – Quail Hollow Park will mark its 50th anniversary with a community celebration from noon to 3 p.m. June 22, hosted by Stark Parks and the Quail Hollow Volunteer Association. The event will feature live music, hayrides, homesteading activities, self-guided tours of the historic Stewart Manor House, and the unveiling of a new interpretive sign.
The festivities will conclude with a free outdoor concert by a brass quintet from the Canton Symphony Orchestra, part of the annual Summer Serenades in the Park Concert Series, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket. Civil War Roundtable
LAKE TWP. – The Stark County Civil War Roundtable will host Brian Matthew Jordan, chair of the History Department at Sam Houston State University, presenting “A Thousand May Fall” at 7 p.m. June 19 at the United Methodist Church, 3088 State St. NW. The program is a chronicle of the Civil War from the common soldier’s perspective. At the heart of the tale is the 107th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
There will be a potluck dinner at the meeting. Covered dishes and desserts are welcomed but not necessary. Annual dues (January through December) are $25 per member, or $30 for two or more at the same residence. The nonmember meeting fee is $4.
Lake Library book sale
LAKE TWP. – The Friends of the Lake Library annual book sale will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 18 (Friends of the Library members only; membership applications available); 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 19; noon to 5 p.m. June 20; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21. The sale will include books, CDs, DVDs, games puzzles, audiobooks and vinyl records. Enter through Door 35 of the Lake High School cafeteria.
Stark Parks fishing events
LEXINGTON TWP. – The Stark Parks’ Ranger Bass Boat Tournament will be June 21 at Walborn Reservoir, 11324 Price St NE.
Participants can be individual or partnered with a five bass limit: largemouth or smallmouth. Cash only at $60/boat. Registration begins at 6 a.m. with fishing from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with weigh-in at 3 p.m. Cash prizes to follow with 60% payout. Based on a 30-boat entry: 1st: $450, 2nd: $270, 3rd: $90, and a Big Bass at $270. The remaining proceeds benefit the Stark Parks Ranger Explorer Program, helping the next generation of law enforcement leaders gain the skills, tools, and knowledge to be successful in the field. Catfish with Cops will be from 6 to 11 p.m. June 21 at Walborn Reservoir. The event, designed to build positive connections with Stark Parks Rangers and local law enforcement, is a shoreline and dock fishing catfish contest only. All ages are welcome. Registration and fishing start at 6 p.m. The $5 per person (cash only) fee benefits the Ranger Explorer program. Catfish must be checked in by 11 p.m. to be counted.
