The major snowstorm that swept across Northeast Ohio will delay trash pickup by a day.
The city of Canton announced that there would be no garbage collection on Monday.
Dover-based Kimble Recycling & Disposal also announced on social media that trash pickup will delayed this week.
“Your safety and the safety of our drivers is our top priority,” Kimble posted. “Due to the recent winter storm and hazardous driving conditions, all routes scheduled for the week of 1/26 through 1/30 will be delayed by one day. This delay allows cities and townships time to clear roads and improve access so our team can safely complete service.”
Kimble also asked that customers make sure carts are not blocked by ice or snow.
Many communities that use Waste Management also reported that trash pickup will be delayed by one day.
