Thunderstorms are expected to increase in the evening. Some of these storms may be severe. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, with a lower chance of a tornado. Some storms could also produce large hail.

While flooding is not a particular concern, if additional rounds of storms persist, we could see some flood concerns in the southern sections of the forecast area during the evening and overnight.

The greatest chance for severe weather will occur from 6 to 11 p.m. Highs on Wednesday are expected to be in the mid-80s.

Some chances of showers and storms are forecast to continue through Thursday, June 19. Although very little marginal instability is expected on Juneteenth.

Drier weather is expected on Friday, June 20, and will persist into the weekend. Heat and humidity will increase by Sunday, June 22, into next week, with heat indices in the 90s to near 100 degrees.
