Route 8 traffic diverted in Stow following motorcycle crash

An accident involving a motorcycle in Stow will keep a portion of state Route 8 southbound closed until the mid-afternoon Saturday, April 4.

Route 8 southbound from Steels Corners Road to Graham Road will be shut down for three hours because of the accident, the Stow Police Department shared on Facebook at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

Law enforcement responded to the crash, with injuries, around 10 a.m., according to the police scanner. A law enforcement officer told dispatch that the crash involved a motorcycle.

Law enforcement began diverting traffic shortly after 10 a.m., according to the scanner.

A dispatcher for the Stow Police Department said he would forward a Beacon Journal reporter’s inquiry and contact information to a sergeant on duty.
