Softball
Aurora 5, Tallmadge 1
The Greenmen prevailed in an early but critical Suburban American showdown to record their fifth straight win. Ruby Sorma tossed a complete game, not walking a single batter while limiting the Blue Devils to a run on five hits. Lailah Bohanan went 3 for 4 for Aurora (7-1, 3-0) while fellow Youngstown State commit Lila Bultrowicz and Reese Witting both singled and doubled. Abby Dalessandro also had multiple hits for the Greenmen along with a team-high three RBIs. Naomi Richardson doubled twice to lead the Blue Devils.
Garfield 7, Windham 1
After the Bombers scored in the top of the second, the G-Men answered in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. Freshman Bella Wright started Garfield’s rally with a leadoff single, sophomore Diamond Dyson followed with a game-tying rip down the left-field line and Madi Seiler smashed a double off the center-field wall to put the G-Men ahead 2-1. Emily Knerem added a pair of RBI hits, in the fifth and sixth, to expand Garfield’s lead. That was plenty for Ayla Kolar, who showed tremendous composure in her varsity debut. The G-Men freshman tossed a four-hitter and stranded 11 runners. Brielle Jones and Makenna Jones had all four hits for Windham with two apiece. Senior Kaelyn Tasker and junior Charlee Hill joined Knerem and Seiler in recording two hits apiece for Garfield.
Mogadore 11, Ellet 5
Down 3-1 after one, the Wildcats bounced back with a dominant offensive outing. Six players recorded multiple hits for Mogadore as Morgan Smith had three and Tali Bartholomew, Autumn Betts, Rylee Clark, Layla Funk and Embry Hudak added two apiece. Smith tallied two triples and three runs for the Wildcats while Betts homered and drove in four. Bartholomew worked around three Mogadore errors to toss a complete game, holding Ellet to five runs (all unearned) and striking out 12.
Field 15, Cloverleaf 0
The Falcons scored in each of the first four innings, including an eight-run top of the fourth. Lilli Sutkowy blasted two homers and a single while Averi Weis also homered for Field. Gracie Hoskin and Sophia Roberts added four and three singles, respectively, for the Falcons (4-1, 2-0 MAC), while Adrianna Berry got the win in the circle, tossing a three-hit shutout.
Baseball
Lake Center 8, Streetsboro 0
Grant Coblentz went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs to pace the Tigers while Luke Heckert also had two runs and two RBIs to go with a triple. Caleb Shelly got the win on the mound for LCC, allowing just two hits over six scoreless innings and striking out nine against a single walk. Brayden Burfield and Jake Szczecinski had Streetsboro’s lone hits off Shelly.

Baseball
Southeast 12, Mogadore 1
The Pirates scored multiple runs in four of five innings, including four apiece in the second and third. Cohen Richardson went 3 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and four runs, while Dan Clint and Bradley Dillon also had three hits for Southeast. Alaunte Massrock added a triple as part of the Pirates’ 15-hit effort, and that was plenty for Joe Sharish and Caden Dillon, who yielded one run on five hits in their five combined innings.
Field 10, Ravenna 0
Sam Confer tossed a two-hit shutout for the Falcons, striking out four against just two walks. Confer also singled twice. Caden Kolesar added a single, double, run and two RBIs for Field (4-0, 2-0 MAC), while Joey Conroy finished with two singles, two runs and two RBIs.
Streetsboro 13, Cloverleaf 3
The Rockets exploded for nine runs in the first inning to take command of their Metro Athletic Conference rematch with the Colts. Brady Long picked up the win on the mound and went 2 for 3 with three RBIs at the plate. Joey DeToro, Jadyn Dufala and Graham Jonas added two hits apiece for Streetsboro (1-4, 1-2 MAC).
Softball
Field 9, Springfield 2
The Falcons erupted for four runs in the bottom of the first and that was enough for ace Adrianna Berry, who scattered two runs and four hits en route to a complete-game victory. Her catcher, Averi Weis, had a big game as well, bashing a double and a homer, while Lilli Sutkowy added three singles for Field (3-1, 1-0 MAC).
Waterloo 13, Lowellville 3
Kris Kehrer had a dominant game with three singles, three runs and three RBIs. The battery of Jolean Hampton and Bayley English was similarly effective for the Vikings (5-0, 5-0 MVAC Scarlet). Both singled, doubled and scored three runs. Hampton also struck out eight to move to 5-0, helped by English’s catching.
Mogadore 20, Warren JFK 2
Leadoff hitter Rylee Clark set the tone for the Wildcats, going 5 for 5 with four runs and four RBIs while Layla Funk added a homer. That was plenty of offense for Tali Bartholomew and Embry Hudak, who combined to limit the Eagles to two runs (one earned) on three hits.
St. Vincent-St. Mary 4, Southeast 2
Kate Krabill impressed in the circle, limiting a dangerous Pirates lineup to two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk. Fellow Irish sophomore Ali Zajac provided a similar spark with a triple and a single. Two more STVM sophomores, Noelle Keso and Mackenzie McFarland, added two singles apiece. Lily Hayes provided a highlight for Southeast with a solo homer while Savannah Powell tossed three scoreless innings of relief.

After Aurora took a 6-0 lead through two turns at the plate, Lucas Poluga pitched four solid innings of relief for Roosevelt, limiting the Greenmen to a single unearned run and striking out four.
Cloverleaf 8, Streetsboro 3
Brady Long went 3 for 3 with a double while Vincent Hinderman doubled and tripled for the Colts, who scored two runs apiece in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings. Jadyn Dufala and Jake Szczecinski had two hits apiece to lead Streetsboro.
