Days before the start of Cinco de Mayo food and drink specials, a Polaris-area Mexican restaurant has closed.
Fiesta Del Rio, 1025 Polaris Pkwy., just west of Polaris Fashion Place on Columbus’ Far North Side, told customers via Instagram on April 29 that it was shutting down at the end of the day. A second location, at 854 W. Coshocton St. in Johnstown, is unaffected by the closure.
At both locations, Fiesta Del Rio has offered a standard Tex-Mex lunch and dinner menu of tacos, burritos and fajitas, as well as entrees such as steaks, chicken mole and shrimp in a house-made hot sauce. The drinks menu includes eight margaritas, from traditional to blackberry and mint.
