Pickerington Central softball player Mycah Massey was selected the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Girls Athlete of the Week for April 13-19.
In four games, Massey batted .455 with a 1.545 slugging percentage, one double, one triple, three home runs, nine RBIs, 10 runs, eight walks and no strikeouts.
Massey received 42.6% of the vote and was followed by Granville track and field athlete Annie McCracken, who received 19.6%, Hilliard Bradley softball player Michaela Moody (12.3%), Granville softball player Aubrey Lackey (12.1%), and Upper Arlington lacrosse players Ella Smith (10.3%) and Ellie King (3.2%).
McCracken, the runner-up, became the second girl in state history to clear 14 feet in pole vault, doing so to win the Granville Invitational. She set the Division II state record in the process. The only other vaulter to go over 14 feet was Castalia Margaretta’s Kenna Stimmel in 2022 (14-6 1/4).
Moody was 9 for 12 (.750) with two home runs and 11 RBIs in four games. She was 3 for 3 with five RBIs against Olentangy Orange.
Lackey tied a state record with four home runs in a 19-6 win over Northridge. She also had eight RBIs.
Smith had four goals and two assists against Olentangy Liberty and one goal, two assists and one caused turnover vs. Springboro.
King had one goal, five draw controls and one caused turnover vs. Olentangy Liberty and five goals, four assists, eight draw controls and two caused turnovers vs. Springboro.
The Athlete of the Week voting recognizes athletes across all sports.
Nominations are due Monday mornings for competitions that took place the previous week. The boys poll is live until 4 p.m. Fridays. The girls poll is live until 4 p.m. Saturdays.

Once athletes win during the regular season, they’re not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. Athletes who have not been a recipient of one of the weekly awards can be nominated more than once.
