Pedestrian walking on Columbus roadway struck by multiple vehicles, killed

Columbus police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway on Cleveland Avenue near Lehner Road when they were struck by multiple vehicles and killed Saturday night, Aug, 15, on the city’s Northeast Side.

Police said the incident was reported at about 10 p.m. and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was withheld pending confirmation and notification of family.

At least one driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit, which reported in a news release that it is trying to identify other vehicles and drivers that may have been involved.
