PLAIN TWP. – Pav’s Creamery is about to deliver its customers a jolt of caffeine.
The Stark County Regional Planning Commission granted conditional approval April 7 for an 800-square-foot Pav’s Beanery drive-thru at the northeast corner of the Easton Street NE and Middlebranch Avenue NE intersection in Plain Township. The shop will be near Oakwood Square.

“Pav’s Beanery is a next-generation coffee concept developed as a complementary brand to the iconic Pav’s Creamery,” partner Grant Giltz said in a news release.
Co-owner Nik Pappas said in a phone interview the concept has been in the works for more than a year.
“Whenever I would brainstorm what’s next with partners Giltz and Nate Oakes, the idea of a coffee place would always come up,” he said.
Through a partnership with M&H Beans in North Canton, Pav’s Beanery will serve locally roasted espresso and coffee beverages that also will use Pav’s proprietary syrups, creams and ice creams.
Pappas said the menu will blend indulgent flavors in one building.
Construction on the vacant lot is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
