Parties on the Patio return to Ashland and headline Area Happenings

Main Street Music: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Downtown Wooster Pavilion. The performers featured this week will be Ashley Gulla (Thursday); Benjamin Callender (Friday) and Bobby T (Saturday).

Parties on the Patio, 6-9 p.m. Friday, Ashland Golf Club, 1333 Center St, Ashland. Musical guest: Taylor Schupp. Food truck: Dine and Dash. Glass in Flight Exhibit at Kingwood Center, Saturday through Sept. 7, Kingwood Center Gardens, 50 N. Trimble Road, Mansfield. The exhibit is free with paid admission to the gardens. The exhibit features sculptures celebrating pollinators and the beauty of the natural world; some are never-before-seen pieces, including a new monarch butterfly and bats with six-foot wingspans. Over 40 stunning sculptures will create arches and groupings or be showcased as individual pieces. Artist Alex Heveri, a Tucson, Arizona sculptor, has been creating large-scale steel and luminousDalle de verre glass sculptures for over 30 years. Civil War Round Table, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wayne County Historical Society schoolhouse. Presentation from Barry Romich and Izy Meshew from the Romich Foundation. Free and open to the public.

Wayne County Fair-Style BBQ Chicken, 10:30 a.m. to sold out, Saturday, June 6, Shreve Auto Repair (formerly Shreve Mobil), 298 N. Market St., Shreve. The County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes will be having its annual spring drive thru and bake sale during the Shreve Wide Garage Sales. Proceeds go to maintaining and operating our museum, as we collect and preserve our local history. They offer 1/2 chicken only for $8.00 and 1/2 chicken dinners for $12, which include green beans and ham, apple sauce, roll and butter. Cash, Venmo and good checks accepted. The bake sale will be located at 281 N. Market St.

Ashland Cancer Crusaders Relay For Life event, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20, Ashland County Fairgrounds. This annual event raises money for the American Cancer Society and the fight against cancer. Activities during the event will include a car show and a cornhole tournament starting at 11 a,m. with both registrations beginning at 10 a.m. A silent auction will be from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and a vendor show will also be ongoing during the entire time. There will also be food trucks. Esbenshade Concessions, Looney Lemon, Puglisi Pizza and Crumble Creations will be there supporting the cause.
