Gabe Cupps is entering the transfer portal after one season at Ohio State, a source has confirmed to The Dispatch.
A 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard, Cupps played one season with the Buckeyes after two years at Indiana. He appeared in 33 games in 2025-26 after taking a medical redshirt the previous season with the Hoosiers, averaging 1.7 points, 1.1 assists and 1.1 rebounds while playing 12.3 minutes per appearance.
Cupps will have two years of eligibility remaining. An Ohio native, Cupps was the state’s Mr. Basketball in 2022 before signing with Indiana.
In 70 career games, Cupps has averaged 2.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
He is the second Ohio State player in as many days whose plans to enter the portal have been made public, joining Colin White. The portal opens April 7. Overall, Cupps is the second player known to be planning to enter the portal when it opens April 7, joining forward Devin Royal and White.
