It’s the night a lot of football fans treat as the equivalent of Christmas Day. It’s time for the 2026 NFL draft, and it’s always a lot of pomp and circumstance that lead to shenanigans and drama. This year, like most, there are a bushel of Ohio State football players expected to be selected in the three-day event, but this time, don’t miss out early because four Buckeyes are expected to go very early in the first round, and maybe five total on the first day.
We’ll be providing live coverage throughout the draft, so be sure to follow along as Ohio State players like Caleb Downs, Arvell Reese, Carnell Tate, and Sonny Styles come off the board. We are officially underway, so off we go.
Fernando Mendoza goes off the board first
As expected, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is selected No. 1 by the Las Vegas Raiders. It really couldn’t be a better story of how things have played out for one whale of a kid and how his career arc is headed.
