The Buckeyes are “Back in Black.”
Ohio State football on May 11 unveiled the return of the all-black uniforms to be worn during the 2026 season.
The uniforms were last worn in 2022 during a 52-21 win against Wisconsin. The Buckeyes have won all four times in the uniforms, beating Michigan State in 2019, Nebraska in 2018 and against Penn State.
The first time wearing an alternate jersey was in 2009 against Michigan. The Buckeyes won 21-10.
Ohio State has not donned alternate uniforms since 2024, wearing all-white uniforms on the road against Oregon and all-grey uniforms at home vs. Iowa.
