Who are the key players for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy football?
CVCA returns many of its starters from last season, including quarterback Charley Levak, who recovered from a torn ACL in time for the season. The Royals backfield is loaded with talent, led by Rutgers recruit Joey Kopec. Zac Anderson and Tommy Kopec also should get plenty of time at running back, while All-Ohio lineman Ben Truax anchors the Royals’ line.
The Kopec brothers also anchor CVCA’s defense at linebacker, while defensive end Dirk Geiger and free safety Nathan Cook are back starting.
Head coach Nick Cook is in his fifth year in charge of the Royals.
Who are the key players for Canton South football?
Canton South ran away from Field 42-16 in Week 1, as fifth-year head coach Matt Dennison looks to put last year’s 4-7 record behind the Wildcats.
Brodee Beegle is the returning starter at quarterback for the Wildcats, but McKinley transfer Nolan Bonnar started in Week 1. Regardless of the quarterback, South has a deep threat in wide receiver Torez Conley. The Wildcats also have experience up front, anchored by two-way starters Andrew Marsh and DeAngelo Spear.
