The Ohio high school football regular season enters its final two games with plenty at stake for Stark County teams when it comes to the postseason.
Nearly every area team remains at least mathematically alive for the OHSAA playoffs, but only a few enter Week 9 having unofficially clinched a spot, according to joeeitel.com.
The official OHSAA computer rankings for Week 9 were released at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. The final OHSAA computer rankings, which determine the playoff fields in each of the seven divisions, are released Sunday, Oct. 26.

Who makes the OHSAA football playoffs?
The top 12 teams in each region in the final report will qualify for the OHSAA state playoffs in pursuit of a trip to the OHSAA state championship games. The top four teams in each region get a first-round bye before hosting a second-round game. Seeds 5-8 will host first-round playoff games against seeds 9-12.
When is the OHSAA football playoff bracket set?
The OHSAA announces the playoff field and pairings on Sunday, Oct. 26.
When do the Ohio high school football playoffs begin?
The opening-round games of the OHSAA playoffs are played Friday, Oct. 31, across the state.
