Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown spoke after quarterback Joe Flacco’s first practice with the team about his impressions of the 40-year-old set to start the Week 6 game against the Packers in Green Bay.
“Zac (Taylor) would like read (Flacco) a play, and then he’ll like pause for a second, and then he would recite the whole play, like perfectly,” Brown said. “So good memory, for sure. … I think new faces always come with new energy no matter what.”
Jake Browning acknowledged he was “pissed” about being replaced by Flacco, but added that he intends to handle the adversity the right way.
Flacco led the Browns to a win against the Packers in Week 3. It was Cleveland’s only win this season and Flacco’s only win in four starts before Dillon Gabriel replaced him.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Oct. 8 that he was not expecting Cleveland to trade Flacco to the Bengals.
