This week’s weather forecast in the Stark County area is a bit of a mixed bag.
The first half of the week in the Akron-Canton area carries some chances of thunderstorms, with showers possible Aug. 12 and Aug. 13, the National Weather Service says. Further into the week, conditions look mostly clear and sunny.
Highs are forecast in the 80s and 90s this week. Aug. 16 may carry the warmest temperatures of the week, with highs near 91.
Today’s forecast calls for sunny conditions and highs near 90. Winds from the south ranging from 5 to 7 mph may make things feel a bit cooler.

Evening: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Aug. 14: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
Aug. 15: Sunny, with a high near 88.
Aug. 16: Sunny, with a high near 91.
Aug. 17: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
