Race for Grace 5K and 1 mile walk, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., starting at Grace Church in downtown Zanesville. Registration starts at 7 a.m. Fee is $35. Proceeds benefit Eastside Community Ministry’s Choice Food Pantry and Noon Rotary’s Healthy Bodies Health Minds programs.

West Muskingum Athletic Boosters Black Friday Poker Tournament at the booster hall, 2170 Highland Road. Doors open at 10 a.m. Tournaments are 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Muskingum County Holiday Choir Concert, 7:30 p.m., Secrest Auditorium. Participating high school choirs include John Glenn, Maysville, Philo, Tri-Valley, West Muskingum and Zanesville. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Gingerbread Contest, noon to 5 p.m., Veterans Building at the fairgrounds, 1300 Pershing Road. Hot food, baked goods, cookie decorating, bounce house and pictures with Santa also available. Donations for the K-9 Adoption Center will be accepted and needed items are dog biscuits, pill pockets, collar, leash, Kong, Jiff, or Skippy creamy peanut butter.
