A fast-moving storm sweeping through Northeast Ohio put the Mumford & Sons show on hold Wednesday night.
A lightning warning that was accompanied by heavy rainfall and wind forced Blossom to issue a shelter in place. Here’s what they posted on social media at 9:30 p.m.:
Hey Mumford & Sons fans.. as you can see we are still waiting for this storm to pass. Please continue to shelter in place either in the pavilion, the nearest structure or in your vehicles. We are actively monitoring this front and will continue to update soon when we get the all clear to start the music back up again.
The show restarted at 10:30 p.m. It was initially stopped eight songs into the band’s 18-song set.
Weather in Akron, Summit County area includes thunderstorm watch
A severe thunderstorm watch was placed until 3 a.m. Thursday for Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties. A flash flood warning was issued at 9:35 p.m. for northern Summit County.
