With its sweep of Galion and Shelby knocking off Ontario, River Valley won an outright Mid Ohio Athletic Conference championship in softball.
The Vikings shared the MOAC with Ontario last year as it is their third MOAC title in the last four years.
River Valley is 16-4 overall and 12-0 in the MOAC with games against Clear Fork set for the week of May 4. Ontario is now second at 18-5, 10-3.
The Vikings started the week with a 4-1 win over Galion as Kylie Eastep threw a two-hitter with five walks and 10 strikeouts, and Samantha Woods doubled and singled. In a 10-0 win over Galion, Eastep ended with a three-hitter on two walks and eight strikeouts. Woods hit a home run and Emerson Isom hit a double and single, while Londyn Danals drove in three runs.
