FAIRFIELD BEACH − Fairfield County sheriff deputies arrested a man following a shooting just after 6 p.m. on April 9 in the 13000 block of Hawthorne Road in Thornville.

Sheriff Alex Lape said Danny J. Mosley, 34, of Thornville, is facing an initial charge of having weapons under disability following a report that a male subject shot his wife.

First responders found a woman in the front yard suffering from a gunshot wound upon arriving at the scene. Her injuries are reported to be non-life threatening, Lape said.

The incident is under investigation and Lape said the county prosecutor is reviewing the case for possible additional charges.

He also said there is no ongoing danger to the community following the incident.

Along with sheriff deputies, officers from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources were at the scene.
