The Lindsey Homecoming Board announced that the Fourth Annual Lindsey Sunflower and Homecoming Festival will return July 25.
It will feature a full day of family-friendly activities, culminating with a live performance by nationally recognized dueling pianos entertainers Meagan Eishen of Lindsey, and Gabe Aronson of Los Angeles, CA.
Festival activities will begin at 8:45 a.m. with the kids race and then adult 5K at 9 a.m.
More activities get underway at 10 a.m. A craft vendors village is planned and food vendors will be set up.
On the main stage, the Baby-Toddler Sunflower contest begins at 11 a.m. with a royalty contest at 3 p.m.
Eishen’s dueling pianos concerts are slated for 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the main stage.
A Lindsey native, Eishen will return to perform before family, friends and the community where her musical journey began. Today, Eishen and Aronson entertain audiences aboard Holland America Line and MSC Cruises and are known for their high-energy, audience-interactive performances.
“From elementary talent shows, high school musicals and community theater productions, to spending the last decade traveling the world and performing, I’ve held my hometown of Lindsey near and dear to my heart,” Eishen said. “I’m so proud to have been raised and to know and love the community that helped shape me into the woman and performer I am today. I’ve been looking forward to performing at home all year and can’t wait to see everyone enjoying such a wonderful, local event.”
Creek Bend Farm will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 26 with shuttles available between the Village Park and the farm. The Old School House will also be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the festival.
The Lindsey Fire Station will host events including a drone demonstration at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., cake walk at 1 p.m. and a Pumper Pull Contest at 5:30 p.m.
