The advisory doesn’t say whether Theetge will speak at the press conference. Imm will address the media a day after Cincinnati City Manager Sheryl Long fired Theetge six months after she placed the chief on paid leave.

A five-month investigation by a law firm contracted by the city concluded in March that Theetge “has not been an effective leader.”

On April 23, Long, in a press conference to explain her decision, said she made the decision to fire Theetge.

“My responsibility as city manager is to make sure I have the right people in the right seats to guide me through that,” Long said. “And that’s why I stand by this decision.”

Long and Mayor Aftab Pureval said Theetge last year, before being placed on leave, had indicated she would step down. Pureval said Theetge changed her mind and demanded $7.5 million.

Imm has said in the past that litigation against the city was possible if the city took actions against Theetge.
