Breeze Airways has launched a seasonal non-stop flight from John Glenn Columbus International Airport to the Portland International Jetport in Portland, Maine, according to an airport newsletter.
The new flight started on Friday, May 2, and will run every Monday and Friday until Dec. 1, 2025, according to the airport’s website.
John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker International Airport now offer non-stop flights to 52 destinations, according to the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. A seasonal flight to Toronto, Canada via Air Canada is another recent addition with flights that started on May 1.
But before you race to book tickets, make sure you have a REAL ID or another compliant document. Here’s what you need to know.
What is a REAL ID?
A REAL ID is an enhanced identification that is federally compliant. A REAL ID will have a star in the upper right-hand corner. A standard license will have “not for federal ID” in that same location. The TSA started requiring a REAL ID or another acceptable document to fly on May 7, 2025.
Ohio BMV locations began offering the REAL ID enhancements in 2017, so those who have gotten a new driver’s license or renewed one should check their license to see if they have completed the necessary steps, The Dispatch previously reported.
How can I get a REAL ID in Ohio?
Ohio allows for licenses to be updated through BMV locations. To update a driver’s license, a person will need to provide documentation that proves:
