The New York Jets announced they signed receiver and returner Isaiah Williams from the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad.
Williams was among players released by Cincinnati as it reached its 53-man roster in August. He was added to the Bengals’ practice squad the following day.
Williams led the Bengals with three catches for 33 receiving yards in the Bengals’ preseason finale, a 41-14 loss to the Colts.
Williams was claimed off waivers by the Bengals when he was released by the Detroit Lions in November 2024.
The undrafted rookie was Bengals running back Chase Brown’s college teammate at Illinois.
Williams had two catches for six yards for the Lions during the 2024 season. He made his debut for the Bengals during a Week 13 loss to the Steelers.
