Jackson Kuwatch selected by Panthers in round 7 of 2026 NFL Draft

Linebacker Jackson Kuwatch, a former Lakota West High School standout from Miami University, was selected by the Carolina Panthers in round 7 of the 2026 NFL Draft, 227th overall.

Kuwatch, who played three seasons for the RedHawks after spending his first two college seasons at Ohio State, was among players invited to the Bengals’ local pro day workout April 14 at Paycor Stadium.

Kuwatch started 14 games for Miami in 2025, recording 109 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks, earning third-team all-MAC honors.

Kuwatch was named first-team all-GMC and earned Southwest Ohio defensive player of the year honors as a senior at Lakota West.
