Darryl Peterson III hopes to be a menace in the NFC next season.
The former Hoban and Wisconsin star signed an unrestricted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Rams at the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft, according to Matt Zenitz of CBSsports.com
The 6-foot-1, 247-pound Peterson finished a five-year collegiate career with a career-high 6.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for a loss in 2025.
“Darryl was the type of kid that was going to outwork everyone else,” Hoban coach Tim Tyrrell said. “He outworked his opponents on and off the field.”
Peterson — the older brother of former Kansas basketball star Darryn Peterson, who is expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming NBA draft — was a constant for the Badgers, and his numbers showed it.
He leaves Madison, Wis., with 79 solo tackles, 24.5 for loss, 14 sacks and seven pass breakups in 53 games.
