The Inter-Valley Conference has announced its postseason awards for the 2026 softball season.
In the Northern Division, Strasburg’s senior Olivia Spidell took home Player of the Year honors and the Tigers head coach Tom Spidell was named Coach of the Year.
At the plate, Spidell has .521 batting average as of May 20 and has drove in 26 runs, smacking seven home runs. She has totaled 11 multi-hit games this season and tallied 37 hits on the year, while also scoring 37 runs.
Tom Spidell led his team to an 11-1 record in the IVC, earning a share of the Northern Division title with Conotton Valley.
Tuscarawas Valley’s junior Brennen Reichman was named Player of the Year for the South Division and the Trojan head coach Staci Martin was named Coach of the Year.
On the mound, Reichman has totaled 260 strikeouts over 113 innings pitched as of May 20. She holds a 0.19 ERA and has seven shutouts this season. The Ohio State commit has also notched three no-hit outings. Her success doesn’t stop on the mound, at the plate she holds a .483 batting average, 37 RBIs and her 11 home runs ties the school record for a single season.
Martin saw her team finish undefeated in conference play as they finished in first place at 12-0 in the Southern Division.
