Impairment was likely a factor in a Hanover Township crash that killed one and injured three, officials said.
Bystanders freed three people from an SUV around 2:18 a.m. on Aug. 15 after it struck a utility pole on Morman Road and flipped multiple times, according a Butler County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The driver and two passengers were hospitalized for minor injuries. A third passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said it was waiting to notify next of kin before releasing the deceased’s name.
Police are continuing to investigate, the release stated.
